« LET’S GO TO THE MUSEUM ! »

 Project goal: to give access to the groups of disadvantaged children to culture and art, and to change the mentality of the community in this respect

 Objectives:

• for children: permit the access of the disadvantaged groups of children to culture and art
• for the community: change the mentality related to the fact that disadvantaged children are not able to understand culture and art and can not behave properly

Target group: 150 children (in total) from 3 NGOs (PARADA Foundation, Casa Deschisa and Trebuie). These NGOs are dealing with street children, with children living in disadvantaged neibourhoods, with children with special needs
Period: 6 months (February – July 2006)
Location: Bucharest
Partners: UNICEF, FONPC, Banlieue d’Europ’Est, The National Art Museum, The Museum of the Romanian  Peasant  and The Geology Museum.

Achievements till in present:

• Six visits to the museums took place
•  Art workshops are taking place in each NGO. By drawing and painting, the children express their creativity and find out new techniques of showing their fillings
